God’s representative

How do schools identify their students? A school uniform right? How do people recognise somebody who works on a shop floor? A uniform also. Back in the days of secondary school if you went on a trip & misbehaved in your uniform it was double trouble simply because it painted a bad picture of the school.

So what am I trying to say? Watch how you represent what you represent. It’s not only in the church grounds that we should represent Christ, it is everywhere. God said we are the light of the world and the world includes everything in it, not just the church, He also said that a city on top of a hill can’t be hidden (Matthew 5:14) this means that we are being watched and our purpose is to reveal Christ to people. So we now automatically represent something greater. Christ says if we deny Him in front of our friends he will deny us in front of His father. Denial is not just something you do with your mouth. Your very actions can deny Christ in your life. If you disobey His commandments then you are denying Him, and there is no nice way to put it.

Even when we have worries doubts or fears over a particular issue, that issue becomes an idol in our lives because we have looked at the problem as if it is bigger than Christ which is in a way also denying him.

Let’s just ask for the grace to represent Him everywhere we go Monday to Sunday 24/7 in our thoughts, actions and in our speech. Also pray that we don’t deny him with our thoughts, actions and speech.

God bless and teach you
