The thought of the word alone sounds beautiful lol. So Agape is a greek word that actually has it’s roots from the Bible. It arose as a need to express that unadulterated, not selfish, unconditional, non obligatory, etc kind of love. It is the highest kind of love that can only be understood completely by God and without God, it’s not a kind of love you can have towards people because He is the only source.

Agape is not an emotion or anything of such, Agape is God because according to John 4:8, God is love. John 3:16, for God so loved the world that He gave His Only begotten sin. Jesus died not just because of His disciples that were His friends but for everyone, even the people that nailed Him to the cross because before He gave up the ghost on the cross, He still asked God to forgive them and even down to generations that were not even born yet, He died for ALL.
Agape doesn’t choose who to love, it simply just loves, no reason. It is only through this love that WE can be at peace with all men even if they aren’t with us. Agape is constant, since it is not based on emotions.

Understood correctly and exercised in proper conditions, phileo, storge, eros can all be legitimate and beautiful expressions of Agape but no single one of those 3 is self sufficient.
Agape is true love and if perhaps True Love is something that interests you and you don’t yet have a relationship with God, it is a very easy thing to do, someone has paid the price already.

Jesus died on the cross for this purpose, to draw you closer to True love. God’s love for you is constant but will be hard to realise that without knowing Him. You can’t give what you don’t have and that applies to True love so i want to plead with you to just take a moment to ask God for mercy for your sins, ask that He gives you the understanding that you are liberated from sin COMPLETELY, ask that He helps you live in that understanding and that He fills you up with His spirit.
