Tough times

First of all, thank you for praying yesterday, I pray when you need people to join to you in praying about something, you won’t lack and I pray God answers our prayers.

Now, I have heard of people that say they hate God because something bad happened to a good person they loved dearly(probably a brother, a sister, a loved one, parents, etc) and honestly, I understand where that pain can come from because it hurts.

The lie alot of these people are told or what people are led to understand is that once you give your life to Christ, nothing bad will ever happen to you/around you or you will never go through difficult times. So they get angry at God and eventually hate Him. So you are probably thinking now, why do bad things happen to some good people?. I have two responses to that for now:
1. The foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom ( what our human mind can grasp is limited so even when His acts seem foolish, He still knows best).
2. It is one’s soul that either goes to God in heaven or goes to hell so the battle isn’t about our flesh, our main concern should be about the person making heaven.

In the story of the wise man that built his house on the rock, the differences between him and foolish one was where they built their houses and what happened after the storm came. Look at that again, even for the wise man, the storm still came. The question is who was still standing after the storm came? Do you also remember the boat that had the Prince of peace in it? Did the storm come or not? The only way to still be standing after the storm is by building your life on that rock so the storm doesn’t move you when it comes.

Stephen, amongst all the 7 men nominated by the church, he was the only one that the Bible says in Act 6 that was full of faith and filled with the Holy Ghost and guess what guys, just the next chapter, he was stoned to death(the storm) but i like how the bible puts it, it says Stephen fell asleep. He was dedicated to God didn’t stop all that from happening BUT he had his life built on the rock and saw past what the people stoning him saw so much that he prayed that God shouldn’t count against them.

God bless you.
