As a matter of fact, prayer works. So matter the situation you are faced with, instead of worrying, pray. Matthew 21:22 says if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayers.
Let’s look at a very few places in the Bible where God answered prayers.
Matt 14:13-21 – This is a story we are familiar with and we should find time to study again. He was to feed over 5000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. In verse 19, the message version says He lifted His face to heaven in prayer. Other versions use words like He blessed or gave thanks, etc, don’t get confused, it’s part of praying.
Acts 12:1-18, The brethren prayed and an angel come and led peter out of a heavily guarded prison without being noticed.
Prayer is not a one time thing, it is continuous that’s why the bible says we should pray without ceasing.
I pray God gives us all better understanding, amen.
