As an abstract or introduction to the Love series we will be going over in the month of September which I believe the sweet Holy Spirit will help us(myself inclusive) learn, understand and make use of in our lives, there are different ways to show you love people by buying gifts, spending time with them, being there for them, listening to them when they want to talk, going on dates, etc
What God is asking in this passage is Obedience to His commands which is actually a summary of the Bible. If you really love Him, the way to show it is to Obey His commands. Same way you feel when someone you really love hurts you is the same way you make God feel when you disobey His commands.

Let’s keep God’s commands in our heart advatanges are endless.
