Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you with all your household, for you [alone] I have seen as righteous (doing what is right) before Me in this generation. – Genesis 7:1

Before continuing in what I have to share today, I would like us to take a moment to say a prayer for everyone affected by hurricane Patricia that God should restore them and also pray that God that saved the whole of Noah’s generation because of his righteousness should let peace be still on the hurricane for our sakes and because He is God, regardless of whatever predictions of how long it will last. God bless you as you do.

So what I would like to share is how the righteousness of 1 man kept him and his household from perishing. The story of Noah is a popular but for the sake of anyone that hasn’t come across it, it’s in Genesis 6 and 7 but to summarise, God looked down on earth and what He saw made Him grief heavily because it was corrupt, filled with immorality, the people in it had lost direction completely and the Bible say God regretted that He created mankind. Imagine you employed a lot of people to work and they are earning good salaries and yet they keep stealing from you, insulting your customers for no reason and every other possible thing to hurt you when all you want for them is good, what will you do? Fire them straight away right? Well God out of the pain in His heart decided to destroy everything He created because He was obviously tired of getting hurt. When He was moving on with His plans, He looked down and saw one man, Noah, he was righteous, in right standing with God, living in constant fellowship with God and according to Genesis 1:7, God saved Noah, his wife, his children and their wives just because of Noah’s righteousness.

God can devise a means to save your unsaved friends, family members, etc just because of your righteousness.

Don’t forget to pray the prayer points above and let’s watch God be God.

God bless
